I was feeling guilty about doing yoga!
Strange but true. I am a morning person and feel most productive early in the morning. I avoid meetings, calls, and interacting with anyone during the morning, even for work purposes, and prefer to focus on my most important tasks.
The same morning time has rightly been dedicated to daily yoga, meditation, and other exercises. After doing these activities, I would feel like I hadn’t accomplished anything since waking up 2.5 hours earlier.
So, I decided to recalibrate my timings. Yes, recalibrate and not remove these from my schedule.
With the revised schedule, I now start working at 6:30 AM after after finishing all my morning routines including a short 10 minutes of yoga session.
Every 2-3 hours of work, I take breaks for exercise, meditation, yoga, and stretching, ranging from 5 to 30 minutes each time.
In the evening, I do my cardio, either a brisk walk or fast cycling, for 30 minutes.
I’ve divided my yoga and fitness routine into smaller portions spread throughout the day. Once or twice a week, I enjoy a morning cycle ride, forest walk, or an extended yoga session.
This is how I’ve balanced my day with exercise and work.
How do you balance your fitness regime and work? Do you follow a specific routine? What challenges do you face in maintaining your fitness routine? I would love to learn from the community to improve mine.
